This is a photo taken from my Dad's garden and printed on silk. Then I stiched over it with machine free motion. I love noticing the detail in nature and bringing it to life!
I have been an artist ever since I discovered the joy of painting pinecones and rocks at age 4.
My inspiration has always come from PLAY. My work reflects concepts, styles and materials inspired from my travels to Kenya, Brazil, Europe, California, the Gulf of Mexico, Mayan and Aztec Archaeological sites, and the east and west Coasts of Canada.
I currently livein Southern Ontario with my husband and two sons.
In recent years I have studied with textile artists Sherril Kahn from California and Ontario artists at the Haliburton School of the Arts.
I have recently completed City and Guilds Machine Embroidery 1 under Anne Griffiths.
My work is playfully hand created to inspire happiness, creativity and play in your home or workplace.
